02/02/2013 Environment in the Arabian Gulf (16th Gulf Engineering Forum)

The Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden has participated in the "16th Gulf Engineering Forum for Environment in the Arabian Gulf Region",  which was held at Helton hotel on 2-4 February /2013, Jeddah, kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The main theme, towards establishing legislations and regulations for a better environment in GCC Countries,  integrated management of solid and hazardous waste, environment and development, environmental legislation and regulation, monitoring and development, air pollution and air quality in the Gulf region, noise in Gulf societies and Marine environment and water resources in GCC Countries. 

The Secretary General Professor Ziad Abu Ghararah Prof Ziadchaired the first session in the second day of the forum, and he presented a paper on the "Climate Change: effects and available adaptation options in the Gulf Region"), he emphasized  in his presentation the effects of climate change and the adaptation methods to be adopted in the Gulf region. On the other hand, PERSGA has participated in the exhibition during the forum and displayed its publications and brochures that included some of the technical series, Guidelines, posters, technical reports and displayed some films about the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Environment.
